ChemIDPlus | ChemIDplus is a database for Chemical Nomenclature and Structure. ChemIDplus contains over 400,000 chemical records. More than 300,000 of those records include chemical structures. ChemIDplus is searchable by Name, Synonym, CAS Registry Number, Molecular Formula, Classification Code, Locator Code, Structure, and/or Physical properties. Enhanced structure display is available in ChemIDplus Advanced. ChemIDplus is a free database provided by National Library of Medicine Website: http://chem.sis.nlm.nih.gov/chemidplus/ |
HSDB | HSDB is a Hazardous Substances Data Bank provided by National Library of Medicine. HSDB provides toxicity data for over 5,700 potentially hazardous chemicals. It also has information on emergency handling procedures, industrial hygiene, environmental fate, human exposure, detection methods, and regulatory requirements. The data are fully referenced and reviewed by a Scientific Review Panel. Website: http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/htmlgen?HSDB |
CCRIS | CCRIS is a Chemical Carcinogenesis Research Information System, provided by National Library of Medicine. CCRIS is developed and maintained by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). It contains over 9,000 chemical records with carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, tumor promotion, and tumor inhibition test results. Data are derived from studies cited in primary journals, current awareness tools, NCI reports, and other special sources. Test results have been reviewed by experts in carcinogenesis and mutagenesis. CCRIS provides historical information from the years 1985 - 2011. It is no longer updated. Website: http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/htmlgen?CCRIS |
NCI Drug Dictionary | The NCI Drug Dictionary contains technical definitions and synonyms for drugs/agents used to treat patients with cancer or conditions related to cancer. Each drug entry includes links to check for clinical trials listed in NCI's List of Cancer Clinical Trials. Website: http://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-drug |
NCI Cancer Terms | The NCI Dictionary of Cancer Terms features 7,797 terms related to cancer and medicine. Website: http://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms |
Organic Syntheses | A Publication of Reliable Methods for the Preparation of Organic Compounds. Since 1921, Organic Syntheses has provided the chemistry community with detailed, reliable, and carefully checked procedures for the synthesis of organic compounds. Some procedures describe practical methods for the preparation of specific compounds of interest, while other procedures illustrate important synthetic methods with general utility. Each procedure is written in considerably more detail as compared to typical experimental procedures in other journals, and each reaction with its characterization data has been repeated several times and carefully "checked" for reproducibility in the laboratory of a member of the Board of Editors.
