Description: Sulbactam pivoxil, also known as CP-47904 and Pivsulbactam, is an irreversible inhibitor of β-lactamase; it binds to the enzyme and does not allow it to degrade the antibiotic. Sulbactam pivoxil has a better absorption than the parent agent and provides high serum levels after oral administration.
