CMP-5 HCl

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

Hodoodo CAT#: H407502

CAS#: 1030021-40-9 (HCl)

Description: CMP5 is a potent and selective PRMT5 Inhibitor. CMP5 showed to occupy hPRMT5 catalytic site and block symmetrically dimethylated S2Me-H4R3 & S2Me-H3R8 with no effect on the asymmetric methylation of H4R3 in lymphoblastoid cell lines at 40 µM. CMP-5 shows promise as a novel therapeutic approach for B-cell lymphomas.

More Info: PRMT5 is the predominant type II PRMT and in association with the WD-repeat-containing protein MEP50 (methylosome protein 50) forms large multimolecular complexes with different binding partners. PRMT5 is postulated to have a relationship with cell growth, cell cycle progression, cell death, and cell proliferation. PRMT5 was validated as an anticancer target in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) and glioblastoma.
