Description: SPB07479 is a Chk1 inhibitor with potential as an anti-cancer agent (IC50 = 4.24 µM). SPB07479 promotes the formation of multinucleated cells, which allows for the cell cycle checkpoint to be overridden. In glioma and pancreatic cancer cell lines, SPB07479 was found to have antiproliferative effects, as well as chemosensitized the cancer cells, while leaving normal cells unaffected.
