Description: HUN86681, also known as 1-Hexadecyl-2-acetylphosphatidylcholine, is a lipid Platelet activating factor (PAF). PAF is an ether phospholipid known to exhibit potential biological activities in a variety of cellular phenomena such as platelet aggregation, chemotaxis, hypotension, bronchoconstriction, vascular permeability regulation, inflammation, glycogenesis and in regular cellular breakdown of phosphatidylinositol. This product has no formal name at the moment. For the convenience of communication, a temporal code name was therefore proposed according to Hodoodo Chemical Nomenclature (see web page: https://www.hodoodo.com/page/naming).
